Help! Welk huidtype heb ik nu?

Help! What skin type do I have now?

I notice that people often draw the wrong conclusions based on your current skin type. A pimple doesn't necessarily mean you have acne. It's quite possible your skin actually needs more nourishment and hydration. To make things a little easier, I'll give you a brief overview of the different skin types and how to recognize them.

Sensitive skin:

Sensitive skin is often very thin and sensitive (what's in a name). You burn easily and react sensitively to cold and heat. You often have redness or visible veins. Sensitive skin can also develop red, inflammatory bumps. If a speck of dirt gets into your skin, your skin reacts very quickly and becomes inflamed.

If you have sensitive skin, you'll find all your must-haves here . Do you react quickly to products? Don't worry, our selection is made especially for you!

Do you, besides sensitive skin, also suffer from severe couperose or even rosacea? Then choose Salonnepro's Skin Perfect Day and Skin Perfect Night to soothe your skin.

The Gentle Face Wash is the perfect upgrade to the Salonnepro range. Use it every morning and evening to cleanse your skin without drying it out. Plus, it won't dry your skin out even more during the harsh winter months.

Are you already using Cleyo's Redness Day Cream and Night Cream? Great! Not using them yet? Then this is also the time to invest in your skin. Cleyo products are skin-improving; you can find all the information about the day cream here .

Dry skin:

Dry skin is recognizable by fine pores, and unfortunately, often also by fine lines. Flaking may also occur. A quick test you can do is place your finger on your forehead and pull it slightly upward. If you see fine lines forming, your skin is dehydrated.

The most important step in your skincare routine is using plenty of hydrating products. Your toner, mask, day cream, and more should all nourish your skin.

If you have extremely dry skin, you might want to read this blog post . I can already tell you one solution: this Dry Skin Rescue Serum is a must-have! Relax with a cup of tea and let the mask do its work.

Also, make sure you apply the right creams to your face. If you like to reapply throughout the day, this Naobay cream is ideal.

Dry skin can also show many blemishes. This is because the skin cells form a shield, blocking dirt. This causes inflammation. Not sure if you have dry or oily skin? Send me a message and I'll help you find the right products!

Oily skin:

Oily skin is usually recognizable by large pores, a feeling of near-permanent shine, and more pimples and blackheads. Oily skin is also thick and stiff. When you run your finger across your forehead, you'll see a layer of sebum on your finger.

Many people think they have oily skin because they have pimples. But only a small percentage actually have oily skin. Not sure? Then come in first or send an email. The wrong products can also seriously damage the skin, so better safe than sorry!

Are you struggling with pimples? Don't pick at them yourself. You're more likely to develop an infection, possibly resulting in a scar. Do switch to products that are specifically formulated for oily skin. You can find all products for oily skin here.

By the way, cleansing is the most important step in your skincare routine! Avoid alcohol-based products at all costs, as they dry out the skin and stimulate sebum production.

If you were scheduled for treatment during this lockdown, be sure to follow these steps at home:

  • Cleanse your face every morning and evening with quality products.
If you really suffer from inflammation and pimples, this Salicylic Cleanser can "soothe" your face.
  • Exfoliate your face at least once a week. You can do this with a scrub with light grains, such as the Detox Black scrub from Salonnepro.
  • Are you already using a custom toner? If not, this can also help purify your skin.
  • The most amazing product I've ever personally experienced that provides such a dramatic improvement in acne is the Intense Night Cream . What a miracle product! Apply it at night and notice them disappearing the next morning! You can also dab it on any blemishes that are still visible in the morning to continue the treatment during the day.

Normal to combination skin:

Normal to combination skin is recognizable by a shiny T-zone (forehead, chin, nose) and dry cheeks. Just because your skin is "normal" doesn't mean you shouldn't care for it. You still want to keep your skin in optimal condition.

You can tailor your skincare routine to each zone, for example, using separate products for dry cheeks and oily T-zones. We've compiled products for normal to combination skin here in our webshop.

To keep combination skin in optimal condition it is important to:

  • Cleanse daily, both morning and evening. Use products free of alcohol and other harmful substances.
  • Add a toner to prevent your skin from drying out and also one that fights blemishes. This one is ideal for this.
  • Scrub once a week with a scrub that does not contain too coarse grains, such as the Jojoba Gel scrub from Salonnepro.
  • You can use a hydrating mask on your cheeks and a detox mask on your T-zone. Try this at least once a week!
  • If you want to prevent fine lines around your eyes, definitely use an eye cream. If you already have fine lines, we recommend this one . If you're under 30, this one from Naobay is a good alternative.
