Winter is just around the corner, and in my salon, I've noticed that many more people are experiencing winter ailments. These can range from simple dry skin to flaky skin. That's why we're dedicating a short blog post to this topic so you can get your skin winter-ready. Bye-bye dry skin and lips!
Dry skin is a common problem
Dry skin is one of the most common problems. Dehydrated skin needs to be combated both internally and externally. Therefore, be sure to drink plenty of water and eat a healthy, varied diet. However, simply drinking enough water is often not enough. That's why My Dear can help you with this. In a natural, animal-friendly, and vegan way, of course ;).
How do you combat dry skin?
First, you should apply your creams faithfully every day. The best cream depends on your skin type. If you have any questions, you can always book a skin analysis. You can find the day cream for dry skin here , but a night cream is also essential during this period. Your skin recovers best at night.
Often, a day cream and night cream aren't enough, and it's best to also use a serum . The order of your daily routine is also important, as it keeps your skin in top condition.
What rituals do you perform?
Start each morning with cleansing . If you have dry skin, avoid soapy products and opt for a milk or oil. Follow with a toner , serum , and finish with a day cream .
Every evening, you do the exact same thing, but you'll need to cleanse extra if you've worn makeup throughout the day. You'll also, of course, replace your day cream with a rich night cream.

We also offer hydrating masks . It's highly recommended to use a mask between treatments, once a week if possible. Take that time for yourself.
A few more tips
Finally, we would also like to give you the following tips:
- do not shower with water that is too hot
- pat your face dry too
- uselip balm that is natural
- don't use body soap on your face
If you're out cycling or running, feel free to apply natural lip balm to your lips, nose, and cheeks, or sunscreen to your face. This creates a thin layer over your skin, preventing moisture from escaping.
